Administration standard bearer Mar Roxas galvanizes the public that now more than ever is the time to continue the fight for decency, for honesty, and for the nation’s future.

“Tuloy na tuloy po ang laban,” Roxas said in a press briefing held at the Liberal Party headquarters in Quezon City on Saturday (May 7).

On Friday (May 6), Roxas asked Poe to meet him in order to discuss the threats to democracy and economy bought about the popularity of survey frontrunner Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte.

Roxas said there is no way to predict the things they could have discussed since Poe immediately turned down the invitation.

Roxas also expressed his alarm at the investors backing out of the Philippine market, as well as the drop of the peso’s value.

The LP standard bearer also dismissed the rumor that in order to stop Duterte, the ruling party will ask Poe to withdraw from the presidential race and ask her supporters to unite in support of Roxas instead.

Roxas is confident the the upcoming elections will be a historical fight of democracy versus dictatorship, with Roxas and his running mate Leni Robredo vying against Duterte and Sen. Bong Bong Marcos.

Yung gusto nila yung tapat, malinis, hayag na pamamahala,” he added.

He also maintained his stand that the upcoming elections should not revolve around personality politics but the platform and plan of the presidential and vice presidential candidates.
